SUBSTANCE: method of providing streaming interactive video involves twitching a video game or application in a hosting service, said video game or application twitching being carried out by one or more users remotely from the hosting server through compressed streaming interactive video, wherein the compressed streaming interactive video is compressed, in the worst case, with to and from transmission waiting time of 90 ms and is transmitted over the Internet with maximum distance of 1500 miles. The method also involves recording a copy of compressed video output, said recording taking place when the video game or application is being twitched, and the copy is recorded in the hosting service buffer and covers a certain number of minutes of the compressed video output; and providing a user interface which enables one or more users to selectively repeatedly reproduce any part of the recorded video output.
EFFECT: reproducing compressed streaming interactive video with short waiting time regardless of power of the client device.
