METHOD OF TESTING REACTION OF GAME SPORT ATHLETE TO MOVING OBJECT Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B5/00

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sportive medicine and is intended for testing reaction of game sport athlete to a moving object. Testing is carried out on game field, above which computer-controlled light emitter and videocamera are placed at specified height. Image of partner-athlete and mark are formed on game field or vertical surface, located in specified direction in specified place of game field by light emitter. Mark is located in front of moving athlete's image at specified distance, depending on rate of athlete's image movement, and moves together with athlete's image. Tested person with sports equipment is located in specified point of game field and throws sports equipment for the latter to get into the image of the moving mark. Movements of athlete's images, mark and tested person are filmed by videocamera, videoimage is transmitted into computer. Computer fixes moment when sports equipment hits image of mark or intersection of trajectory of mark movement with sports equipment, stops movement of images of athlete and mark for specified time, calculates distance from the centre of sports equipment to the centre of mark, calculates distance from the centre of sports equipment to the centre of mark and re-starts movement of images of athlete and mark from initial position after specified time. Testing is repeated specified number of times, assessment of testing is calculated as arithmetic mean of separate results.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to test reaction to moving object on game field with sports equipment.
