FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method for combined blowdown of molten polymetallic matte involves melt blowdown by supplying oxygen-containing air-blast to the melt and above the melt. Air-blast is supplied to the melt in the quantity of 1.7-5.0% of total amount of air-blast; matter is partially oxidised and mixed with slag so that slag-matte emulsion can be obtained. The rest amount of air-blast is used for oxidation of the formed slag-matte emulsion. A tuyere for combined blowdown of molten polymetallic matte includes concentric steel pipes equipped with supply branch pipes of oxygen-containing air-blast, cooling water supply and discharge branch pipes, nozzles located on an external concentric steel pipe, and a tip with nozzles, which is located at the bottom; nozzles are directed upwards at an angle of 65-75° to the tuyere axis.
EFFECT: increased formation of melt splashes and accretions on furnace walls, excluding destruction of lining of the bottom under matte layer, as well as increasing copper content in matte, and reducing costs for its further conversion.
