FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: unit to connect reinforcement rods of periodical profile including coaxially arranged ends of reinforcement rods and a connection coupling joined with them at both sides, which consists of two steel half-couplings, the inner surface of which is made in the form of a half-cylinder with the diameter equal to the diameter of reinforcement rods, and has a relief corresponding to the relief of the periodic profile of connected reinforcement rods, at the same time each of half-couplings is coupled with the ends of the reinforcement rods along the entire area of the relief surface, so that ledges of the relief of the reinforcement rod enter the grooves of the half-coupling relief.

EFFECT: reduced labour intensiveness due to simplified assembly works with preservation of strength of a butt joint.
