SUBSTANCE: after cholecystectomy, patient's blood serum is examined for myeloperoxidase antibodies. If the myeloperoxidase antibody level is more than 200.0 Units/ml, the developing intestinal bacterial overgrowth is predicted as positive.

EFFECT: using the declared method enables higher accuracy and sensitivity of predicting the developing bacterial growth in the patient's intestine after cholecystectomy.
