FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to improved method of obtaining trimethylenecarbonate in two stages: at the first stage obtaining dialkylcarbonate (Alk=2-4) by transesterification of alkoxy-containing component, at the second stage obtaining trimethylenecarbonate by transesterification of dialkylcarbonate with trimethyleneglycol in presence of catalyst. At the first stage dialkyl carbonate is obtained by transesterification of propyl bicarbonate with alkylorthotitanate, and at the second stage as catalyst potassium or sodium alkoxide is applied.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to obtain product with high degree of purity and to apply more available catalysts.
