FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing fluorine-containing dialkyl carbonates, comprising reaction of fluorinated alcohols with carbon tetrachloride in the presence of metal halide catalyst. Resulting mixture is subjected to distillation, water is added to the reaction mass, remaining after vacuum distillation of the products, in an amount that is twice the weight of fraction, the mixture is distilled at atmospheric pressure and the desired product is isolated. Technical result consists in increased yield of bis-(tetrafluoropropyl)- and bis-(octafluoropentyl)-carbonates with 35–70 % and 36–94.7 %, respectively, exclusion of highly toxic components at all stages of synthesis, regeneration of unreacted reagents and reduction of process stages.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increased yield of bis-(tetrafluoropropyl)- and bis-(octafluoropentyl)-carbonates.
