FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: device for determining optimum moment of ammunition blasting includes an electronic unit and receiving-emitting channels including an optic emission pulse source and a photoreceiver. Optic axes of the optic emitter and the photoreceiver are directed at an angle of ≤90° to ammunition longitudinal axis in the movement direction and located with an offset relative to each other. With that, an angle is provided in radial direction between axes of emitters of adjacent receiving-emitting channels, at which light beams of emitters do not intersect between each other. With that, distance between beams from neighbouring emitting channels at the required distance of the target detection is equal to/approximately equal to minimum size of the target. The optic emitter and the photoreceiver are connected to the electronic unit, in which the time is implemented - a pulse analysis method of distance for determination of range to the target.
EFFECT: improving probability of detection of small-size targets; providing blasting of ammunition when ammunition is located at optimum distance from the target; enhancing protection against optic and small-size interference, and reducing weight-and-dimensional characteristics.
