FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to data collection system for locking of bottles or similar vessels with tags at their walls and carried by the system by revolving dishes. System comprises illumination unit with light surface shaped to circular spot and directed to vessel to surround it and to be axially spaced there apart. Said system comprises optical device with at least one chamber. Said illumination unit comprises large number of vertical spaced apart light sources to project vertically oriented light image composed of spaced apart vertical light rays or strips on vessel wall. Vessel wall are illuminated by light image with strips is smaller than vessel periphery that can be received by optical device, its one camera being shifted in height relative to illumination unit.

EFFECT: accurate recognition of symbols, ruled out of tag location at bottle seam.
