FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in marine exploration using profile recorders (stations) for vertical probing of a marine environment, in automated anchored underwater equipment (probes) for comprehensive monitoring of hydrological parameters and behaviour of the aquatic environment, as well as for chemical-biological and ecological control and monitoring of water bodies. The invention provides a profile recorder for vertical probing of a marine environment in which the emergence/immergence system, unlike existing devices, is in form of a reversible gearless electric drive using a stepper motor with magnetic coupling.
EFFECT: simple design of the profile recorder by excluding the reducing gear from the emergence/immergence system, high efficiency and reliability of the electric drive and longer self-contained operation of the profile recorder.
