FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: installation method of a rolling drilling bit bearing structure involves installation on a trunnion with radial channels of a rolling cutter with an annular groove and its fixation against axial movement with locking assemblies, each of which includes a pin with an actuator, which is to be installed in the trunnion radial channel. Prior to installation of the rolling cutter on the trunnion, the pin with the actuator is recessed in radial channels of the trunnion; then, the cutter is put on the trunnion, and after the pins are aligned with the annular groove of the rolling cutter, the actuator is set to working position. As the pin actuator, a spacer assembly made from shape memory effect material is used; with that, before the spacer assembly is installed in the trunnion radial channel, it is rigidly attached to the pin and installed in the channel in folded position.
EFFECT: adaptability to manufacture of a bit and installation of its bearing structure; improving bit operating efficiency.
