FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: friction planetary gear includes epicyclic roll (2) with inner working surface, solar roll (3) with outer working surface, carrier (4) and tree satellites (6, 7, 8), arranged between epicyclic and solar rolls in carrier slots. Two satellites (6 and 7) are hinged to carrier, and the third satellite (8) of the largest diameter is floating. Recurrent triplets of satellites are tandem in separate slots of carrier. Carrier is designed as a rod provided with the main longitudinal slot (I) for solar roll (3), transverse slots (II) for each floating satellite (8) and (III) for each two satellites (6, 7) hinged to carrier, and two minor longitudinal slots (IV, V) included in the main longitudinal slot (I) for axes (10) of satellites. During operation in gearbox mode movement is transmitted to solar roll (3) through external driving device (12).

EFFECT: increasing load-carrying capacity of transmission without increase of its radial dimensions.
