FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: optoelectronic element and an optical fibre fixed by glass paste on a glass ceramic board are mounted on a contact polycore plate on a radiation propagation axis. At the end of the optical fibre there is a lens, placed at a distance of at least 1 mcm in front of the working area of the optoelectronic element. Current is conducted using metal contacts. The optoelectronic elements used can be a laser diode, a superluminescent diode, an end light-emitting diode and a photodiode.
EFFECT: high output radiation power, longevity and high reliability owing to improved quality of the radiating or receiving surface, low probability of misalignment, smaller size of the optical module.
