SUBSTANCE: method comprises the following steps: receiving social information which includes an identifier of the type of a social information event, contents of the social information event and an initiator of the social information event; using the identifier of the type of social information event to obtain the type of the social information event and the assumed user action for the obtained type of social information event; sending the social information, type of social information event and the assumed user action to an instant messaging (IM) client; displaying, by the IM client, at least one of: the initiator of the social information event, contents of the social information event, type of social information event and the assumed user action.

EFFECT: enabling tracking of all activities on a network while performing minimum interactive actions owing to the user accumulating all the obtained social information.
