SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of displaying IPTV notifications for user equipment (UE). The method comprises receiving an instant message from another device; detecting an application identifier associated with a service control function (SCF) node in the instant message; determining that the instant message was sent from a SCF node and that the instant message is an IPTV notification; filtering said instant message from other received instant messages.
EFFECT: facilitating differentiation of instant messages containing IPTV notifications from other instant messages in a receiving device.
