FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for contact projection welding of pipes, in particular, H-like adapters used in production of instrumentation for measurement of gas or fluid pressure in pipelines. Electrodes of at least one of top and bottom electrode units have supports for lengthwise pipe of wedded joint. Said electrode units arranged at the platform serve to orient and clamp said pipes and to create welding force in welding zone. Every top electrode unit is equipped with horizontal displacement drive. Every electrode device comprises air cylinder with two rods. Casing with holders is secured at first rod, said holders being provided with supports and permanent magnets to orient and lock transverse pipes and with horizontal electrode with transverse pipe supports. Said casing is fitted at carriage to displace in guides arranged at post secured at the platform. First current conducting plates is rigidly secured at air cylinder body while second current conducting plate is mounted in parallel at said rod with clearance to measure welding yield.

EFFECT: possibility to weld different-length parts, high-quality weld joints.
