FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: asphalt-mineral composition contains 100 pts.wt mineral aggregate and 3-20 pts.wt asphalt containing 0.001-5 wt % of at lest one cationic organosilicon compound per weight of the asphalt. The invention also relates to an asphalt composition which contains asphalt and a cationic organosilicon compound, an aqueous asphalt composition containing an emulsion which contains asphalt dispersed in water and a cationic organosilicon compound, an aqueous asphalt-mineral composition which contains an emulsion, a mineral aggregate and a cationic organosilicon compound, an asphalt membrane containing at least 50 wt % of asphalt, mineral filler and a cationic organosilicon compound, and a composition used for asphalt roofing systems, which contains at least 50 wt % of asphalt, mineral filler, fibre reinforcing mat and a cationic organosilicon compound. The amount of the cationic organosilicon compound in all compositions ranges from 0.001 to 5 wt % per weight of asphalt.
EFFECT: compositions demonstrate improved adhesion of asphalt binder to aggregates.
