MULTI-TIER AVALANCHE STRUCTURE WITH PROMENADE TERRACES ON SCARP Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC E02D29/02

Abstract RU 2501911 C1

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: multi-tier avalanche structure with promenade terraces on a scarp comprises reinforced concrete piles, reinforced concrete retaining walls, horizontal reinforced concrete boards that form tiers together with reinforced concrete retaining walls. It is equipped with Z-shaped reinforced concrete support stiffening ribs, each comprising the following monolithically connected components: a vertical support element of alternating height of cross section, increasing top-down, a lower support element, made in the form of a lower pilework and an upper horizontal reinforced concrete beam, installed on the elevation of the upper edge of the scarp and made in the form of an upper pilework, monolithically connected with the upper part of the vertical support element. The lower pilework is monolithically connected with the lower part of the vertical support element. Z-shaped reinforced concrete support stiffening ribs are arranged in the vertical plane, which is perpendicular to the plane of the scarp in the place of their adjacency to the scarp, and at the entire height of the scarp and monolithically installed by means of lower and upper pileworks at the lower thrust and upper anchored reinforced concrete piles in one row at the specified distance from each other at the scarp. The upper edge of each lower pilework is divided into two sections: a horizontal section, on one part of which, adjacent to the scarp, there is a vertical support element, and an inclined section. Horizontal reinforced concrete boards along their entire length of all tiers are made as cantilevered, are equipped with parapets and form promenade terraces. The lower horizontal reinforced concrete board forms a promenade terrace of the first tier and is installed onto horizontal sections of the upper faces of the lower pilework, at the same time it is installed onto those parts of horizontal sections of the upper faces of lower pileworks, which are free from vertical support elements. The lower part of the structure is equipped with a sloping reinforced concrete board, which is installed onto inclined sections of the upper faces of the lower pilework and is monolithically connected with the lower horizontal reinforced concrete board to form a low grade towards the base of the structure. Retaining reinforced concrete walls may be installed in inclined and/or vertical position, at the same time they are monolithically connected by their back sides with front end faces of vertical support elements of Z-shaped reinforced concrete support stiffening ribs. In their lower and upper parts the retaining reinforced concrete walls are monolithically connected with horizontal reinforced concrete boards of adjacent tiers, and the lower part of the retaining reinforced concrete wall of the first tier is monolithicaly connected with the lower horizontal reinforced concrete board. Retaining reinforced concrete walls of each tier, horizontal cantilevered reinforced concrete boards, the lower horizontal reinforced concrete board and the sloping reinforced concrete board are divided by thermal settlement joints in a single vertical plane, stretching between two adjacent Z-shaped reinforced concrete support stiffening ribs at the specified distance in two adjacent sections of the structure. Optionally in different convenient places along the specified height of the structure there are stair descents or escalators for movement from one tier to another and to the foot of the scarp. Stair descents comprise monolithically connected staircases and intermediate reinforced concrete landing platforms, and additional stair descents are installed on the sloping reinforced concrete board. Intermediate reinforced concrete landing platforms with staircases are arranged as adjoining the retaining reinforced concrete wall. Intermediate reinforced concrete landing platforms are arranged between each two horizontal cantilevered reinforced concrete boards to form a stair descent. In places of adjacency of horizontal cantilevered reinforced concrete boards - promenade terraces to staircases (or escalators) there are transition openings, which adjoin the retaining reinforced concrete walls, for the possibility to move pedestrians from promenade terraces onto staircases (or escalators) and back.

EFFECT: provision of reliable protection of a scarp against dangerous slope processes.
