SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plate apparatus, column with such apparatus and method of its application. Liquid-vapor contact plate apparatus comprises plate with fluid feed section and fluid displacement section, drain barrel communicated with the plate displacement section. Means to increase fluid flow pulse comprises pull-back valves arranged at tray fluid displacement section. Means to vary fluid flow direction and pulse to drain barrel comprises baffle arranged at drain barrel inlet. Drain barrel has to and bottom parts. Said bottom part is inclined outwards while top part is more vertical. Direction-varying baffle has bottom edge terminating, in fact, at the level of transition between drain barrel inner wall top and bottom parts, or there above.
EFFECT: higher operating efficiency.
