FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an energy-activated polymer composition which contains: solid particles containing a first polymer; a liquid carrier in which solid particles are emulsified, dispersed and/or suspended; and a process additive. The composition is a material which is pumpable at temperature from 0°C to 60°C (from 32 to 140°F); the composition forms a substantially homogeneous molten mixture when activated with energy at working temperature higher than 60°C (140°F); the substantially homogeneous molten mixture is converted a fused solid material when cooled to temperature below 60°C (140°F); the fused solid material is capable of binding one or more bases at the point of application; and the process additive reduces density of the molten mixture by obtaining a foamed material at the point of dispensing and is selected from a group consisting of water, alcohols, diols, triols, hydrated minerals and hydrated inorganic compounds. The invention also relates to an apparatus for heating or mixing said composition and a method of activating and dispensing the composition.

EFFECT: low density, improved sanitary conditions of production, improved foam stability, shorter binding time or lower treatment temperature.
