SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine. An intrauterine system comprises a drug carrier representing a rate monitoring system that controls an intrauterine drug release rate with the carrier being shape-stable and does not fail in use. A frame limits an internal space for the carrier and has an open design providing an approach to at least 50% of an external surface of the carrier. One or more retainer members are used to retaining the intrauterine frame. There are disclosed versions of the intrauterine system and method for making the intrauterine system.
EFFECT: higher reliability and mechanical integrity of the intrauterine system.
