FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. The method of producing sodium chloride comprises the following steps: (i) preparing a salt solution with sodium chloride concentration higher than that of sodium chloride at the eutectic point, but lower than in a saturated salt solution, by dissolving a sodium chloride source in water; (ii) cooling the obtained salt solution using an intermediate coolant in a self-cleaning heat-exchanger with a fluidised bed or in a crystalliser to temperature below 0°C, but higher than the eutectic point of the obtained salt solution, to obtain a suspension containing a sodium chloride dihydrate and a mother solution; (iii) feeding the sodium chloride dihydrate into a recrystallisation apparatus to form sodium chloride and a mother solution, and (iv) recycling at least a portion of the mother solution obtained at step (ii) and/or step (iii) to step (i).

EFFECT: invention reduces power consumption of industrial production of sodium chloride from underground deposits, increases purity of the obtained sodium chloride without conducting purification step and evaporative crystallisation steps.
