FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: initial azimuthal orientation is performed at vertical position of downhole instrument by defining the angle of deflector in the system of coordinates related to downhole instrument case. Antennas of satellite angular navigation hardware (WANH) to lock up the course angle ψ. Then, said antennas are replaced with downhole instrument, gyroscopic inclinometre is switched on to load coarse angle ψ in gyroscopic inclinometre software as the angle of deflector. Program processing allows obtaining the parameters of initial position of coordinates of said downhole instrument relative to geographical system of coordinates. Proposed device comprises WANH system, bed with thrust screws, case with plug, support post and two identical tips at downhole instrument and support post.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of initial azimuthal orientation, expanded operating performances.
