FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: liquid sprayable composition suitable as an agent for closing wounds of woody plants comprises: a) from 1 to 40 wt % based on the total weight of the composition of water-insoluble closing materials in dispersed form, which are selected from water-insoluble film forming polymers and waxes from the group of acrylate polymers, polyesters, polyurethanes, polar polyolefin waxes having an acid number of at least 1 mg KOH/g, and their mixtures; b) 0.05 to 20 wt %, based on the total weight of the composition of at least one active ingredient for plant protection, comprising at least one fungicidal active ingredient for plant protection; and c) at least one volatile diluent in an amount from at least 50 wt %, based on the total weight of the composition. The diluent comprises water at least 70 wt % based on the total weight of the composition amount of the diluent, and d) at least one nonionic surface-active agent in an amount of from 10 to 100 wt %, based on the closing material. The composition at 20°C has a dynamic viscosity in the range of 1 to 500 mPa·s. The composition is used for closing wounds and protection of woody plants from infection by phytopathogenic fungi. The composition is sprayed on wounded areas of woody plants.
