SUBSTANCE: cartridge comprises a housing, one or more blades and an elongated resilient element. The elongated resilient element contacts with the skin and comprises an orienting array of elements contacting with the skin. The said array has a structure in the form of one or more flexible protrusions engaging with the skin, generally perpendicular to one or more blades and forming a plurality of open channels. The said channels facilitate the smooth passage of hair to one or more blades during shaving. The said elongate resilient element comprises at least one additional array of elements contacting with the skin. At that, the orienting and additional arrays of the elements contacting with the skin are of different lengths.
