The dosaging unit has a reservoir, a dosaging device having a liquid communication to the reservoir and an applicator having a liquid communication to the dosaging device. The doser has a protective element with multiple ribs and an output aperture positioned before the ribs. The cartridge protective element has multiple projections extending across the blade and aligned along a single line with the applicator ribs. The projections have multiple channels extending across the blade.
