SUBSTANCE: described is a method of producing aromatic polyester ketones based on dioxy compounds and dihalogen benzophenones, which involves reacting dioxy compounds with potassium hydroxide or sodium hydroxide, distilling the water-toluene azeotropic mixture, the method being characterised by that synthesis is carried out in two steps: at the first step synthesis is carried out between diphenolate and 4,4'-dichlorobenzophenone for 3 hours at 160-170°C in dimethylsulphoxide, and at the second step synthesis is carried out between the formed oligoketone and 4,4'-difluorobenzophenone for 3 hours at 160-170°C in a mixture of dimethylsulphoxide and N,N-dimethylacetamide in volume ratio of 1:5.
EFFECT: simple and cheap method of producing high-molecular weight polyester ketones.
