FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of preventing icing of an electric conductor involves depositing a hydrophobic coating on the conductor lying between fastening points thereof; the conductor is subjected to mechanical action with frequency of 5-20 Hz by a vibration generator placed on the conductor in the middle between points of fastening the conductor; and the hydrophobic coating is deposited by placing the conductor in a surfactant from the class of aliphatic amines, e.g. octadecylamine or rofamin T. The surfactant used can be an aqueous emulsion of a surfactant from the class of aliphatic amines, e.g. octadecylamine or an ethanol solution of a surfactant from the class of aliphatic amines, e.g. octadecylamine. A hydrophobic coating 4 is formed on the surface of the conductor, said coating being formed by depositing onto the conductor a substance which contains a surfactant from the class of aliphatic amines. Said substance can be an aqueous emulsion of an aliphatic amine or solution thereof in ethanol.

EFFECT: high efficiency.
