SUBSTANCE: invention relates to feedstuff industry, in particular, to a fodder additive for dogs and other animals based on keratin-containing wastes and to the fodder additive production method. The fodder additive for dogs and other animals based on keratin-containing wastes consists of the following initial components, wt %: keratin-containing wastes - 37.0, huskless oats - 34.0, red carrots - 7.0, linseed press cake - 12.0, ice acetic acid - 3.0, bentonite - 7.0; 1 kg of the additive contains the following components: fodder units - 1.1, digestible protein - 370.0 g, calcium - 26.5 g, phosphorus - 17.2 g, starch - 120.0 g, fat - 140.0 g, sugar - 31.0 g, carotene - 60.0 mg. The method for production of fodder additive for dogs and other animals based on the keratin-containing wastes envisages keratin-containing wastes milling with the other ingredients of the fodder additive into particles sized 5-10 mm and the produced fodder mixture extrusion at a temperature of 450°C under a pressure of 60 MPa during 190 sec.

EFFECT: invention usage will allow to enhance ration digestibility and increase live weight gain.
