FIELD: personal usage articles.

SUBSTANCE: beverage preparation method using a beverage preparation device intended for preparation of beverages of one or more beverage ingredients and containing a supply system, a valve means and a pump for supply of liquid via the supply system; according to the method, one carries out control of the air volume present in at least part of the device supply system to obtain the preset characteristics of froth or foam in the beverage being prepared; the air volume is actually controlled either through increase of the air volume for increase of the ratio of air volume to volume of liquid in the beverage being produced or through decrease of the air volume for decrease of the ratio of air volume to the liquid volume or through preservation of the air volume with adjustment performed through adjustment of the valve means opening or closing in connection wit the pump action during the brewing cycle.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of conventional beverage preparation devices enabling production of a wide range of high quality beverages having different properties, such machines requiring no special operator training and minimum or no cleaning.
