FIELD: fire-prevention facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting equipment, in particular to systems limiting the zone of toxic gases dispersion formed during emergency depressurisation of ground containers. The limitation of horizontal dispersion of the gas cloud is carried out by forming a film of fluid on a wire mesh fencing by spraying this fluid. The fencing is mounted around the container. Dilution of the gas cloud with air to safe concentrations is carried out by limitation of vertical movement of the gas cloud in the fencing area and division of the gas cloud from this area into separate flows. The claimed method is implemented by the device for dispersion of the gas cloud. The device comprises a closed fencing which is made around the container, the gas detectors, the control system and the manifold with openings. Between the closed fencing and the container the gas detectors are mounted which are connected to the control system. On the upper edge of the closed fencing the wire mesh fencing is mounted, on which the nozzles are focused. The nozzles are placed in the manifold openings, which is connected to the fluid source. On the upper edge of the wire mesh fencing the roof with openings is fixed, in which the pipes are mounted.

EFFECT: method of gas cloud dispersion, which is formed during leakage from the ground container, comprises limitation of the horizontal dispersion of this cloud and its dilution with air to safe concentrations.
