SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of effluents containing suspended contaminants and can be used in oil processing, petrochemical and chemical industries, machine building, etc. Settling oil separator comprises set of thin-layer modules composed of lengthwise plates and inclined to casing side wall to make therewith a flocculation chamber expanding upward to receive initial oil bearing water and cleaned water discharge chamber converging downward. Note here that said chambers incorporate initial water feed device and cleaned water discharge device.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
