FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of measurement equipment and may be used to determine mass of liquefied hydrocarbon gas contained in a reservoir. The method is proposed to determine mass of liquefied hydrocarbon gas in the reservoir, in which they measure electric capacitance of a radio frequency sensor placed in the reservoir with the liquefied hydrocarbon gas. Simultaneously they measure temperature in the reservoir with liquefied hydrocarbon gas in several areas in the cavity of the reservoir along the vertical line with application of appropriate sensors of temperature. They perform joint functional transformations of the electric capacitance and temperature. At the same time they average values of temperature of liquid and gas phases by means of processing of information from all sensors of temperature that are accordingly in liquid and gas phases. They judge on the mass of liquefied hydrocarbon gas according to results of joint functional conversion of the specified electric capacitance and averaged values of liquid and gas temperature.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of mass of liquefied hydrocarbon gas contained in a reservoir.
