FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for high-precision determination of mass of a double-phase single-component substance in a closed metal reservoir of cylindrical shape regardless of phase condition of the substance. In particular, it may be used in fire-prevention equipment for high-precision detection of a mass of fire-extinguishing substance, in particular, carbon dioxide, in a reservoir (balloon) and its reduction as a result of possible leak from the balloon. The proposed device for measurement of mass of the double-phase substance in the closed cylindrical reservoir, having a metal bellows pipe arranged along its longitudinal axis, comprises a capacitance sensor of mass, formed by a combination of the bellows pipe as one of conductors of the sensor and coaxially to it arranged outside of the metal pipe as the second conductor of the sensor, and an electronic unit. The length of the metal pipe arranged outside is reduced at the bottom in comparison with the length of the bellows pipe, besides, reduction of the length of the metal pipe makes 0.05÷0.25 of the length of the bellows pipe.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of determination of mass of a double-phase substance in a reservoir due to substantial reduction of dependence of mass measurement results on temperature.
