FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in production of pipeline valves and accessories at NC lathes. Proposed lathe comprises spindle asst, self-centring indexing chuck, set of carriages with feed drives, magazines of non-drive and driven tools and NC device. Besides, it incorporates automatic drive to turn workpiece in chuck to whatever programmed angular position controlled by angle encoder arranged in said drive and engaged therewith by output shaft to be engaged at workpiece turn with chuck journal. Additionally, it has elements to locate workpiece to be rigidly fixed in indexing chuck cam by workpiece cylindrical part by unlocking retainer driven by indexing chuck at turn termination.
EFFECT: higher turning efficiency and reliability of semiautomatic lathe operation.
