FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact welding current stabilisation and may be used in contact point and seam welding machines. Prior to starting the welding, welding machine is switched on in short-circuit mode and in that of loading with reference resistance at trigger-on angles of thyristors α1 and α2. Duration of ON state of thyristors λ sc1, λ sc2, λl1, λl2 and current in secondary circuit Isc1, Isc2, Il1, ll2 are measured in every case. In every period of welding current measured in duration of ON state of thyristors λ at known thyristor opening angle a. Duration of ON state of thyristors λsc, λl for short-circuit mode and in that of loading with reference resistance at switching on the welding machine with thyristor opening angle. Secondary current Iw1 and Iw2 in welding mode for thyristor ON angles α1 and α2. Thyristor opening angle αw is defined for preset welding current Idef.

EFFECT: simplified automatic control hardware, higher precision of contact welding mode stabilisation.
