FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method can be mainly applied for measurement of welding current during setting of contact machines to the specified welding modes and in automatic control systems with current feedback. During welding the actual current value I1 is measured on the side of primary winding of welding transformer, actual value of welding current I2 and duration tλ, of pulse of welding current is determined on the side of the secondary circuit. In addition, instantaneous current i1(tλ) is measured on the side of primary winding when pulse of welding current with duration of tλ ends. Actual value of welding current I2 is calculated depending on I1, i1(tλ), tλ considering K - transformation coefficient at the specified transformer stage and 0.5T - half of period of supply voltage.

EFFECT: method allows improving measurement accuracy of welding current on the side of primary winding of welding transformer and considerably simplifying the hardware part.
