FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel contains the following, wt %: carbon 0.04 to 0.099, chrome up to 7.00, manganese 0.15 to 2.5, nickel not more than 4, molybdenum not more than 1.0, vanadium not more than 0.30, titanium not more than 0.06 and/or niobium not more than 0.15, nitrogen not more than 0.25, copper not more than 2.00, rare-earth elements or calcium not more than 0.15, and iron and inevitable impurities are the rest. Steel has lath and rack martensite structure at fulfilment of the following ratio, wt %: Cr/C not less than 20.
EFFECT: steel has increased values of strength, viscosity and weldability characteristics.
