FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: steel contains carbon, manganese, chrome, titanium or niobium, molybdenum or tungsten, vanadium and iron at the following component content, wt %: carbon 0.07 - 0.35, manganese 2.5 - 3.5, chrome 2.5 - 3.5, molybdenum 0.35 - 0.55 or tungsten 0.8 - 1.2, vanadium 0.08 - 0.15, titanium or niobium 0.01 - 0.03, and iron is the rest. The following ratios are observed between steel components: Cr/Mn 1: (1-1.4); Cr/W l:(0.3-0.4) or Cr/Mo 1:(0.15-0.20); Cr/V 1: (0.03-0.06); Cr/Ti or Cr/Nb 1: (0.004-0.008); Mo/V 1: (0.22-0.27) or W/V 1: (0.12-0.15); V/Ti or V/Nb 1: (0.06-0.25).
EFFECT: steel use will allow providing higher hardness penetration level at production of large-sized products.
