FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: brake drum comprises cylindrical brake way connected with circular wall perpendicular to drum rotational axis. One side of circular wall comprises face ribs distributed around axis of rotation. Said drum comprises outer peripheral ribs arranged at its outer side opposite said brake way. Face and peripheral ribs feature aerodynamic profile to direct air caught in rotation to increase drum heat exchange with ambient medium. Airflows directed by said ribs are integrated to combine lateral airflow towards wheel outlets with central suction. Aforesaid hub comprises ribbed brake drum. Transport facility comprises hub with ribbed brake drum.
EFFECT: higher efficiency due to improved heat exchange.
