METHOD FOR PERSONALISING TREATMENT OF YOUNG PATIENTS SUFFERING ENDOMETRIAL CANCER Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC G01N33/52

Abstract RU 2508550 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: endometrial tumour tissue taken from operated reproductive females is analysed for the tumour cell ploidy by cell cycle phases. The relation of aneuploid cells in the cell cycle S-phase to diploid cells in the cell cycle S-phase is detected, in percentage. If the relation is ≤ 0.8, a postoperative radiation therapy is prescribed in the patients. The relation > 0.8 requires a course of polychemotherapy followed by a combination radiation therapy.

EFFECT: objective criterion characterising the condition of the tumour cells and enabling the effective selection of a sequence of adjuvant effects, and thereby prolonging the young patient's life in endometrial cancer.
