SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for timely assessment of malignant potential — the ability for early recurrence of endometrial squamous cell carcinoma. A method of predicting the risk of early relapse of endometrial squamous cell carcinoma in patients with stage I of the disease, which consists in the following: in the endometrial tumour tissue, the expression of the levels of Ki-67 and p16 markers is simultaneously determined by immunohistochemical analysis, with the expression level in the Ki-67 tumour being more than 35% and p16 more than 40% the risk of early recurrence of squamous cell carcinoma in the vaginal stump is predicted in patients with stage I of the disease operated on by hysterectomy within 8 to 10 months.

EFFECT: invention provides the ability to predict the risk of early recurrence of endometrial squamous cell carcinoma in patients with stage I of the disease, allowing, at the stage of surgery, to determine the potential biological aggressiveness of the tumour based on the time of relapse.
