MEDICAL INJECTION DEVICE WITH TIME DELAY INDICATOR Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61M5/24 A61M5/31

Abstract RU 2508922 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to an indicator shared by medical injection devices applicable for administering a drug preparation into a user's body. A medical injection device for administering the drug preparation into the user's body comprises a drug administration mechanism and a time delay indicator. The drug administration mechanism comprises a drug dispensing drive responding to the drive actuation, and the time delay indicator switched from a first visual condition before the drive actuation into a second visual condition in response the drive actuation, and switched into a third visual condition as a pre-set period of time following the drive actuation passes. The time delay indicator comprises a mechanical time delay unit operated in response to the drive actuation, and is at work until the pre-set period of time passes. The visual condition of the time delay indicator is controlled by the mechanical time delay unit. What is also presented to be applicable as a part of the medical injection device comprising the drug administration mechanism having the drug dispensing drive responding to the drive actuation, is the above time delay indicator to be coupled with the drive of the medical injection device. An indicator design enables drawing visual or tactile confirmation after the drug administration of the fact that the dose has been objectively administered, and maintaining the indication confirmation for the pre-set period of time.

EFFECT: presented design is simplified, cost-effective and can be switched as an integral part of the pre-filled device and facilitating the device operation.
