FIELD: rescue equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to self-contained breathing apparatus providing human activity in the unbreathable atmosphere. This apparatus can be used by rescue workers for work in mines. The self-contained breathing apparatus comprises a cylinder of compressed oxygen, a cartridge with chemical absorber of carbon dioxide, a breathing bag and a mask with inhalation and exhalation valves. The cartridge with chemical absorber of carbon dioxide additionally comprises absorber. The absorber uses liquid regenerable carbon dioxide absorber.
EFFECT: constructive implementation of the apparatus enables to remove much of the burden to remove carbon dioxide from the solid chemisorbent, to reduce significantly its required amount; furthermore, since the amount of the solid absorber in the cartridge is reduced, then accordingly the amount of heat generated in the process of operation is reduced.
