FIELD: rescue equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to self-contained breathing apparatus providing human vital activity in unbreathable atmosphere. This apparatus can be used by mine-rescuers to work in mines. The self-contained breathing apparatus comprises a cylinder of compressed oxygen, a breathing bag and a mask with inhalation and exhalation valves. Additionally, the self-contained breathing apparatus comprises an absorber using the liquid recoverable adsorber of carbon dioxide and electric cooler operating on the principle of Peltier.
EFFECT: constructive implementation of the apparatus enables to avoid the use of consumable materials, except oxygen, and to provide supply of cooled breathing gas to consumer, and, thus to avoid the need in reserves of ice, which is important since mine-rescuers usually have to work at higher ambient temperatures (after fire).
