FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of corkboards to be used as heat insulators in refrigerators' and construction. Proposed method comprises preparation of cork chips, their compaction to boards, heat treatment at 290-300°C and cooling down. Before compaction, said chips are mixed with waste fibers of the wool primary processing. Note here that said wastes make 1% to 10% of the volume of chips.
EFFECT: higher strength.
