FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: polymer pipe of a cooling tower sprinkler comprises flat solid walls and is made in the cross section as a rectangle or a square, besides, on the pipe walls there are some ledges, each ledge arranged at the angle to the cross section of the pipe, and the pipe that is rectangular or square in the cross section is made with rounded angles, in the longitudinal direction the pipe is divided by transverse convex corrugations of equal width into sections. Corrugations are made with side walls inclined at the blunt angles to the surface of the pipe and a flat top along the side walls of the pipe, where four inclined ledges are made with the flat top, the vertical flat side wall and rounded end walls. Inclined ledges are arranged at the equal distance to each other and are inclined to the horizontal line at the vertical position of the pipe at the angle from 30° to 40°, and corrugations are connected to each other by oblique ledges, the height of which is equal to height of transverse convex corrugations. Besides, the oblique ledges are made with the flap top, vertical side walls and are inclined to the horizontal line with the vertical position of the pipe at the angle from 50° to 70°.
EFFECT: increased intensity of heat and mass exchange with higher reliability of operation of a cooling tower sprinkler assembled from these pipes.
