FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry. Propose passive gage comprises extra primary inductance coil to measure air temperature in wheel tire, temperature gage connected therewith in electric circuit to vary circuit resistance ay temperature change in wheel tire. Permanent magnet, secondary inductance coil are arranged at automobile stationary part and signalling device arranged in the cabin. With instrument arranged at automobile stationary part, extra wireless communication device is mounted thereat and connected with secondary inductance coil in electric circuit. Proposed instrument and extra wireless communication device incorporates no power supplies (a passive design). One or several permanent magnets are fitted at wheel rim, and/or one or several areas with magnetic permeability other than that of wheel rim, or one or several bulges and/or one or several recesses are made at wheel rim.

EFFECT: measurement of tire air temperature and signal transmission to signalling device.
