FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to substations of electric vehicles operating on DC and can be used at electric power supply systems of trams, trolleybuses, metro and for charging of electric vehicles. Proposed transformer substation comprises converter 1 of high voltage into trolley line including high-voltage transformer and voltage rectifier 2, converter 2 of voltage for charging terminals and unit 3 of charging terminals. Transformer comprises protection unit, control unit and unit of current sources in number equal to that of charging terminals. Every current source comprises inverter, isolation transformer, rectifier, all being connected in series, and current transducer connected in series to rectifier output. Current transducer output is connected to inverter control input. Protection unit, current sources and charging terminals are connected with control unit via communication units.

EFFECT: uniform loading of substation, lower costs, expanded operating peformances.
