FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural materials and can be used to modify portland cement concrete and mortar. The method of treating portland cement structural materials involves impregnation with a preparation based on sulphur solution in calcium hydroxide and then drying the porous material. Concentration of sulphur in the calcium hydroxide is 60-90 g/l. The impregnated material is dried by heat treatment at temperature of 40-100°C for 2-6 hours.
EFFECT: corrosion resistance and longevity of articles and structures used in soft water, high resistance of articles to sign-alternating mechanical loads.
